Nine NGO’s in the First Chance network selected 15 young teammates for various positions in their organizations:
• Alternative Life Association- Communications Specialist
• Darüşşafaka Society- Purchasing Assistant Specialits, IT Assistant Specialist, HR Assistant Specialist
• Genç Hayat Foundation-Project and Training Assistant
• Support to Life Agency- HR Specialist
• Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts- Field Support Assistant, Sponsorship Assistant
• Turkish Eductional Volunteers Foundation- Firefly Mobile Learning Unit Specialists (2)
• Turkish Education Foundation- HR Specialist, Donations Specialits
• Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats-Fundraising Specialist, Administrative Affairs and Purchasing Specialist
• Community Volunteers Foundation- Accounting Specialist
The selection process consisted of the evaluation of the CV’s, Skype interviews and face to face interviews. The 15-applicant cohort was selected from a total of 467 applicants through preliminary assessment of 150 CV’s, 75 Skype interviews and 40 face to face interviews.
The 15 participants will be attending to First Chance Orientation on 22nd & 23rd of December before starting to work in their offices in January 2016. Throughout the program (12 months) they will be working full time and thus gain experience and have a chance to participate in various trainings, seminars and mentoring/coaching schemes as organized by the First Chance Academy.
